Salted Caramel Buttercream

2011-05 Caramel Cupcake

Stir together, stirring frequently till thick and bubbly over medium heat; Let sit and cool, then add the vanilla

  • 1 cup salted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 TB vanilla

1 pound salted butter, softened – whipped in stand mixer until fluffy

Add the following to whipped butter, alternating 1/4 cup increments at a time, til smooth an creamy, do not over beat.

  • 6 cups powered sugar
  • cooled caramel
